WebRec:
A Web-based Recreation Data Collection System
The World Wide Web (Web) has now become a standard communication tool for institutions and the general public. Parks and recreation agencies now routinely maintain Web pages and often offer Web-based program registration. In keeping with this trend, the national leader in recreation needs assessment, Management Learning Laboratory (MLL) has developed a Web based recreation community input solution that allows community members to offer their input about recreation opportunities and needs on the Web.
WebRec is priced at $400 per month. MLL will do the following:
- Prepare the Web-based survey based on questions provided by the agency limiting to a total of 30 questions
- Maintain the Web-based survey for the length of time the agency desires
- Provide periodic data updates to the agency
- Provide a final report and recommendations at the end of the survey period
- Provide the entire data set at the end of the survey period
All you have to do as an agency is to publicize the Web-based survey page to your community via news releases, press reports and your newsletter and your web page.
If you would like to purchase WebRec for immediate use, send a check for the first month and a copy of the multiple choice questionnaire to MLL and we will have the survey up and running within about 48 hours of receipt of the material. If you can send the questionnaire on disk, or e-mail as a text/word processor document we will give you $100 off the price of the first month and have the survey up within about 36 hours.
